Pest 04:58
i know you're right and well, i know that time will tell that i've been waiting my whole life to see you burn.. i've seen you pass a thousand blind who wouldn't even bat an eye. you focus fine i see, but i'm so incompletely in your view. so i've been trying to change ya see. would you still say so angrily "this feels like death in everything you do to me" see i been missing hangin round, i feel so old and tired now. youre sounding fine i see, but how could you just put him in my place don't know what string in me she struck, the frequencies it resonates are self-effacing and primitive now i feel so limited, and oh i hate the ways i act when you see me what reservoir you tapped oh i need it back but you seem distracted it's been 2 weeks yeah i feel too weeak to see you

hold me low, i'm not afraid to say hello hold me low, my mind is broken idle so far below i'm not afraid to die slow hold me low, i'm not afraid to lie low anonymous, floated, off again oh below, i'm not afraid to die slow adjust the sum to all that i have done and i'm no one so how you gonna love how you gonna try how you gonna love again Romeo, my body shakes and i explode Solomon, the cardinal being Homeo, I'm not ashamed to try more i'm just the sum of all that i have loved, i'm so much. how you gonna love how you gonna try how you gonna love again

about

Recorded February 2nd-6th, 2014 at Chase Park Transduction by Richard Salino.
Tracked live in Studio A, guitar and vocals overdubbed in Studio A, mixed to 2" tape in Studio B.
Richard did everything - engineering, producing, mixing. He taught me how to tune a guitar (bout time).
Tom Lewis then mastered these tracks at Chase Park.
Artwork by our dear friend Kristin Karch.

This collection of songs was written between the release of our first EP in May 2013, which we commonly referred to as the "White EP" (since we spraypainted them white) and August 2013.
From the get, we envisioned it as the "Black EP" (since we already had white and black spraypaint) and figured we'd be able to churn out this collection of more dense, darker material by the end of the summer.
Turns out it took us about 6 months to grow into this material and a band and figure out how to make it work. Luckily it worked out, by the time we went into the studio in February we'd played the songs in the same order countless times all over the southeast.
While it would be a little funny to continuously release self-titled EP's of different colors, we'll probably just stick with black and white.
It was really intense experience, the most taxing in our young lives, and we're super proud of this record and so glad that it's finally DONE.
